Science. not fiction.

SkyCab | R&D Project 2019–2020

The research project SkyCab - led by FH Aachen - starts in July 2019 and defines a mobility concept for an air taxi in the European model region Maas, Rhine and Ruhr.

In collaboration with the consortium partners we concept the product & mobility design of the air taxi and develop the brand language and communication design. We manage the whole project in the design context.

SkyCab provides scientific answers to the public discussion about the benefits of air taxis. The results of the interdisciplinary consortium form the base for elaboration of the research project and serve creating social acceptance via the Urban Air Mobility Initiative network.

The official funding certificate confirms a continuation of the project until 2023.

More information regarding the project can be found under Skycab Part 2

We develop the prototype’s product and mobility design integrating mixed reality. Further we are in charge of brand strategy, corporate design, HMI and interactive design. In coordination with the consortium partners, we define use cases and relevant personas and analyse urban and transurban structures.
